Admission: Open by personal invitation only (not a public event) Anna worked as Georgia O’Keeffe's weekend companion in her two New Mexico homes through the summer and fall of 1976 and into winter 1977. Between Anna’s personal experience and study of the artist and her work in the years that followed, Anna gained a unique perspective on O’Keeffe’s life, her art practice, and lessons that all artists can take to heart. Anna has an interest in other women artists of O'Keeffe's time, who include Henrietta Shore (1880-1963), Agnes Pelton (1881-1961), and Helen Torr (1886-1967). In addition Olive Rush (1873-1966) and Ida O'Keeffe (1889-1961) present interesting comparisons. Anna will reflect on similarities and differences in the careers and life journeys of these woman compared to Georgia O'Keeffe (1887-1986). There will be time for questions.
